Jane Danson's Husband Joins the Street

Jane Danson who plays Leanne Battersby is being joined on set by her husband Robert Beck who is already well known from Emmerdale, Brookside and The Bill.

Robert will be seen on screen next month playing hard man Jimmy an old friend of Tony Gordon who has dated Carla Conner on and off.

A spokesperson told ITV: “Rob is joining as a business associate of Tony’s – they go way back and it soon becomes clear that Tony relies on Jimmy to help him sort situations for him so Tony doesn’t have to get his own hands dirty.

Jimmy will be called in to do the dirty work on behalf of Tony who wants to take over Weatherfield.
