Dragons Den is back starts tonight at 9pm on BBC2 - Must say I am glad as it is one of only a few shows I actually like to watch on TV.

Some Wacky Ideas on Dragons Den Tonight on the opening airing

The Musical Group did well though I am a little intrigued re Air Oasis especially as there are the Cactus Kid Oasis adverts presently running on British TV Stations at least that I know of.

I thought it was a great idea for a band to try the dragon's Den, they seem very intelligent and well focused and I am not surprised by them getting offers but I couldnt understand how they werent able to play just a bit of one of their new songs, that seemed weird to me ??

The air water guy really wound me up it was so obvious he was a door to dorr hard sell type of salesman and he should have known better than to treat the Dragons as one of his punters ... bad mistake

and finally the "Lay Lines" bed sheet, I ask you what ever next... everyone know that the where the pillow ends is where your territory ends lol !!

Grumps I think the band had some good reasons not to do a preview of their next album's content - just giving a preview as asked could have lost them a whole lot - many people watching the show could have part stolen the content for starters.

blackbeard I agree there is much more scope for those water making machines

Can you imigine a solar powered version situated in the Ethiopian Desert for example.

I agree the Air Oasis guy was exactly the type of salesmen I can't stand. Typical wait for three No's (and probably more in his case) badgering hard sell tactics,

How that thing is supposed to be sold door to door when it takes time to settle is beyond me. A potential customer is lost upon a taste test which the colour test is hoping to prevent LOL.

Any salesperson working trying to sell those units beter hope they do not have a mortgage to pay as if so they might just as well prepare for disaster.

Kirby Vacuum cleaner salessmen hmm and didnt it show - I once misatakenly tried that gig with absolutely no success at all. In fact if you want to alienate yourself from all family friends and contacts Kirby and it seems Air Oasis with their busness model would be the way to go to get your presence dreaded by all who know you LOL.

Kirby vacuum cleaners have one of the worst business models I know of!

It's a pity the Air Oasis idea is in his hands as making water from air is something I had thought was possible and am glad to see I was right but still a better system and approach could still be possible if they could just get the water to actually taste better than filtered tap water.

The bedsheet idea my oh my I thought that was a joke to be honest.

Air Oasis guy obviously did not do his homework.

He mentioned the three "golden get off the stage" options.

Pyramid selling - illegal in the United Kingdom
MLM - unlikely to make anyone except the top guy money.
And to top it all off - "we know the product isnt perfect"

And he missed a golden opportunity - he could have said any of the following:

"We know the UK market has water coolers, piped bottles etc, but not everywhere is convienient to put pipes, such as on the 15th floor of a hotel, rather than pay the additional huge expense of plumbing you could install one of these to provide water for something else to use - ie make a coffee maker "yup we know the pure water doesnt taste too good, hence we boil it and add it to coffee - everyone knows coffee does taste good with britta filtered pure water." We want money to take this initial design and turn it into something huge - a coffee machine that requires no plumbing it could be installed in places where plumbing is not practacle for a fraction of the cost.

He did all the sales based on 1 unit per household forcefully, he didnt even consider the wider uses at all.

Ahh its easy to sit back here and say it in hindsight, but he should have prepared for it all - its his product he should have said to them "well its not going to taste too good because its not had time to filter" And then offer solutions however absurd to cure that problem.

And if your going to have a machine take the humidity and try and drink that your asking for trouble, pure water tastes even when filtered like crap - its basically a chemical yuk. its safe to drink yes, but needs something added.

I thought Air Oasis guy started off well it was just before Deborah said about his hard selling that he had started to go downhill, I can't believe he said about pyramid schemes everyone knows they are scammy.

Water always taste a bit yucky IMHO whether from the tap or a bottle!

I loved the two women who did human tree's and table I thought that was a great idea though I think they could have bargained some more.

The lay lines sheet was stupid I hate to think what other ideas he had up his sleeve

One thing I don't like about DD is the when they show you little snippets of other people and their ideas that entered the den but you dont get to see what it was about.

Glad that DD is back on a screens it's a good watch and we needed something to replace The Apprentice.

Grumps if you think about the Group they could have lost quite a lot by performing their new material by previewing it too early they could have even been beaten to the post re release.

Re: the band, in that case they should have said just that, not just stand there and say nope we cant play it. And then offered to play another from an old album, consdiering how clear and professional they had been , I am surprised that's all.

I agree Blackbeard re the water machine, great ideas of yours and I too NEVER understand how these people go into the DD so unprepared.

If it were me I would have worked out every angle , fact, possible question, made sure I understood everything ( not just learnt it by heart) and so on...truely weird what do these people think ??

Liked Peter Jones step on of the 75K offer to the fashion girl. In fact MissTVWorlds had pointed out the exact same thing RE her pitch to me and it is very interesting that Peter spotted the same thing and made his offer.

They were all so taken with her but just couldn't get their heads around her only asking for £56,000, I soon realised if she had of asked for more they could demand more % of her company but she was asking to little preventing them fom doing this.

I was glad that PJ stepped in though there was a catch of more money so he could have a bigger share, I was surprised Deborah turned her down as she was clearly interested.

I was also glad the guy who owned diamond geezer.com walked away I realised I knew that name already and I'm sure he will get it set up on his own, it's not very often people walk away saying no thanks.

I thought the guy with the slot machine thingy for the tv was good I am clearly alone in thinking this, but I didn't think it was a bad idea, also I couldn't understand why the dragons were having difficulty in understanding what he wanted.

To me it was obvious he ran his business mainly on shopping channels and wanted the dragons to help him launch his product in the high street, where he had no previous experiance.
