Eamonn Holmes asks Sex Addict 'Why not charge?'
It would seem Eamonn Holmes made his audience on This Morning up in arms over his question to a sex addict yesterday morning when he asked "why not charge?"
The Sky News and This Morning presenter was interviewing sex addict Crystal Warren who is unable to hold down a permanent job because of her addiction, Eamonn Holmes asked 'If you need this five or six times a day, have you never thought about making a business of it? Charging for it?'
Warren replied: 'What, becoming a prostitute?' 'Then it becomes a business, then I become maybe like a robot.
Eamonn Holmes went on to try and explain "Yeah, but I mean if you are not particularly selective, what I'm saying is, why wouldn't it be a business to you?"
While some have said his co host Holly Willoughby or Holly Willobooby (to Celeb Juice fans) looked shocked at Holmes' comments which I find hard to believe with the dirty filth she hears from Keith Lemon.
ITV have today defended Holmes stating "Eamonn's question was in the context of a wider balanced and frank interview and we have had no complaints."
ITV may well have spoken out to soon though because its currently a hot topic on twitter and many have said they are disgusted including Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh who tweeted: "Omg !! Can't believe eamon holmes just said to a sex addict on this morning 'y dont you start a business , and charge for it !' illegal !"
Unfortunately for Eamon Holmes this is his second big blunder in the eyes of the This Morning viewers as he previously interviewed a rape victim and began the interview asking her why she felt tempted to walk home, when ending the interview he said "I hope you take taxis now. Everywhere you go, coming home at night."
This lead to hundreds of viewers accusing the presenter of victim blaming and that his remarks were stupid and dismissive.
