Fiona Phillips Quits GMTV
After 12 years presenting GMTV Fiona Phillips has decide to quit the sofa!
As a face many people see first thing in the morning it will certainly be strange for many viewers.
Fiona has interviewed and reported on many famous faces in her time some of her biggest including Michael Jackson, Michael Barrymore, David and Victoria Beckham and her most recent big interview was Heather Mills McCartney who broke down in tears.
Though she has quit half way through her contract this won't be much of a problem as her husband Martin Frizell is the editor of the show.
In a statement read by her spokesperon she said "It has been the hardest decision I’ve ever made but I've been thinking about it for a long time."
"I love the job but I've got other responsibilities - the children, a home life and an elderly dad who needs me and I've recognised that I can't have it all."
While many will miss waking up to Fiona alongside her co presenters Andrew Castle and Ben Shepard others like myself will be glad of the change especially as I have never rated her as a good presenter, not that I watch GMTV but when I have seen it I have soon switched over.
