Alexandra Burke's Hallelujah Becomes Fastest Download Ever

Alexandra Burke was reportedly seen by 14.6 million people on Saturday evening win The X Factor 2008 and her debut single was on sale that very night and since then has broken the record for fastest selling download ever.

The record was previously held by 2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis with her fifth single Run which recently became the fastest selling digital release of all time, after it sold 69,244 in just two days.

Alexandra's debut single is available for 69p on HMV and a spokesman has said "We're seeing a phenomenal rush to download the 'Hallelujah' single from our website. It's both our fastest and biggest-ever selling download, and Alexandra already has the Christmas number one all wrapped up."

Hallelujah is also available in shops on Wednesady which will no doubt increase sales further and guarentee her The Christmas No.1!

I figured there would be some contracts blackbeard - I will be interested to see what happens with Diana Vickers considering her offer from Gary Barlow of Take That if Simon Cowell (The SCowler) does not deliver for her.

That amazon site is one of them blackbeard i am affil-21 for amazon to so all my amazon sites contain affil-21 and whatever numbers are available before that if you get my drift - How the heck I became amazon affiliate 21 I don't know but I registered two sites the last day of The X Factor 2008 and put one up for auction on ebay the other part amazon based for now until I can spare more time for it

Lol I read this also Blackbeard they are not allowed to sign to any other music company or record any songs good thinking really by Simon and co because he always signs about three others from the final so I'm sure we will be seeing Eughan, Diana, Ruth and a fourth JLS!

Lots of money to be made by Simon this year!

Though I read recently that Britains Got Talent hopeful Faryl Smith the young girl of only 13 has rejected Simon (well her parents have) and has instead opted for Universal Music instead, I bet Simon is kicking himself that this one got away

Alexandra today claimed the Christmas no1 spot with her version despite a large number of people downloading Jeff Buckley's version in the hope of stealing the Christmas number one spot however Jeff's version has managed to secure the no2 on downloads only.

This is the first time in apparently 51 years that the same song has been at number one and two on the official chart and its the first time ever this has happened at Christmas.
